Cool and Social (K-6th grade)

Does your child get frustrated or have "melt downs" when things don't go their way?
Does he have difficulty building relationships with peers or trying new things?
Is she interested in making friends, but struggles to initiate and keep friendships?
Some kids need to learn how to stay cool when they are frustrated; some kids need help connecting with peers; and some kids need both. We offer several versions of this class and we build our curriculum around the ages, goals, needs and interests of children enrolled.
COOL AND SOCIAL is for children who may have a difficult time figuring out their own emotions, expressing themselves effectively, and building positive relationships with peers. In some children these difficulties take form of hyperactivity, defiance, and/or meltdowns. In others, it may look like shyness, reluctance to engage with others or to participate in new activities. In this class, we help kids improve emotional self-regulation skills as well as develop social skills necessary for making positive connections with others.
