SOCIAL CONNECTIONS FAQ
WHEN ARE CLASSES OFFERED AND HOW MANY WEEKS ARE IN EACH SESSION?
Classes are offered on weeknights and weekends all year round. Classes usually run in 6-8 week sessions. Shorter sessions may be offered during Summer months and sometimes around Holidays. Each class meets once a week.
ARE THE CLASSES COVERED BY INSURANCE?
Classes are not covered by insurance or flex spending accounts.
HOW DO I KNOW THAT THE CLASS I CHOSE WILL BE A GOOD FIT FOR MY CHILD?
Individualized intake process allows us to assess each child's needs and goals and make an appropriate class recommendation. If we do not currently have a class that would meet your child's needs, we will place your child's name on a wait list and begin the process of creating a new class and enroll children whose needs match your child's needs. We only need 3 children to start a new class. We welcome children with significant communication delays, difficulty following directions, and behavioral challenges as well as children with advances communication skills. Children are matched according to level of social-emotional development and chronological age.
HOW MANY CHILDREN ARE IN EACH CLASS?
There can be as few as 2 and as many as 6 children in each class depending on the type of class and individual needs of each child. We pride ourselves in offering a unique, individualized approach and build our program around the needs of each child.
HOW DO I SIGN UP?
To assure positive outcomes of the program, each child is expected to complete an intake process, which allows us to match children effectively. First step is to submit the "Social Connections Contact Form" to place your name on the call back list. Our program coordinator will then reach out to you to schedule an intake for your child. Intake involves completion of the enrollment form a 15-20 minute virtual or in-person meeting with a program coordinator. The intake is free of charge and it does not guarantee class placement for your child.
WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS?
There are 3 payment options. You can choose to pay weekly or pre-pay for 4-8 weeks at a time. If you choose to pre-pay for at least 4 weeks, you will get a 10% discount. There are not refunds once payment is made. Payments may only be made in cash or check.
WHERE IS YOUR PROGRAM LOCATED?
We are located at 82 Buck Rd, Holland, PA 18966. We are in close proximity to Feasterville, Newtown, Richboro, Southampton, Huntingdon Valley and NE Philadelphia. Our office is also easily accessed from Yardley, Bensalem, Abington, Hatboro, Washington Crossing, and Levittown.
